Purpose:
The INCITS Study Group on Accessibility will serve as the US TAG to the JTC 1 Special Working Group on Accessibility. In this capacity it will provide US National Body representation on and develop US National Body positions to the SWG. Reports and status from SG and SWG meetings will be provided within 30 days to the INCITS Executive Board.
Membership:
Membership on the INCITS
Study Group on Accessibility is open to all directly and materially
affected parties that meet attendance and voting requirements and pay
the designated service fee(s). A voting member of the INCITS
Executive Board can participate on the INCITS Study Group on Accessibility
without charge. Organizations that do not participate on the INCITS Executive
Board will be charged $800 per year to participate on this INCITS Study
Group.
Any organization seeking a
waiver of the participation fee can apply in accordance with Section
5.6 of INCITS RD-2.
Officers:
Officers of the INCITS Study Group on Accessibility will be determined In accordance with the RD-2. The SG Chair will be elected by the INCITS Executive Board. The SG Chair may appoint other officers including a Vice Chair and Secretary as needed. The Chair will fulfill the functions of the International Representative.
Mode of Operation:
The INCITS Study Group on Accessibility
will meet via teleconference or face-to-face depending upon the anticipated
length and agenda for each meeting. Availability of
agendas and proposals for action by the INCITS Study Group on Accessibility
will be in accordance with the RD-2.
The initial meeting of the INCITS Study
Group on Accessibility will be face-to-face in Redwood Shores, CA
on 16-17 February 2005.
